Billionaires Breakdown

In this little project I wanted to use Power BI for creating a dashboard which can help us know better billionaires in 2023.

I used an interesting dataset from Kaggle, Billionaires Statistics Dataset (2023) by Nidula Elgiriyewithana.

I've chosen this dataset because it contains a lot of information and data is not so dirty so I could focus on data visualization but even so I performed some cleaning in Microsoft Excel.

Since I wanted to give a general picture of world billionaires in 2023, I had to fill some nulls in the dataset, in particular about the citizenship of these people.

The purpose of this analys was to cast a light on billionaires, showing the percentage of men and women, their age, their Country and in which industry they mostly operate and how much is their fortune.

Unfortunately I only have the free version of Power BI, so I can't sharemy dashboard here with you but you can see how it looks and have an idea of the results.

More than 2,000 billionaires have been analysed and as you can see they are from 79 Countries, having a total worth of 12.21 trillion Dollars from 18 industries. The average age is 65 and only a very small fraction of billionaires is female. Most of billionaries are from the USA, China, Europe and India making money mainly in tech industies, fashion and retail or finance and investments.
